Lows never seem to happen at convenient times.
For me, they usually happen:
- in the car
- during the night
- while busy
- when I thought I was completely fine
That’s why I always try to keep a few reliable snacks nearby.
What Makes A Good Low Snack?
You want something:
- quick acting
- easy to carry
- consistent
- easy to portion

Snacks I’ve Found Useful
Glucose tablets
Simple and predictable.
Small juice cartons
Easy and fast acting.
Jelly sweets
Portable and cheap.
Just easy to overdo sometimes.
Breakfast bars
Good if you need something that lasts a bit longer too.
Mistakes I Used To Make
The biggest one?
Overcorrecting.
One low used to turn into:
- biscuits
- chocolate
- random snacks
…then suddenly I was high instead.

What Helped Me Most
Keeping low treatments:
- nearby
- organised
- consistent
Final Thoughts
You don’t need loads of snacks.
Just a few reliable options you trust.
That alone reduces a lot of stress.
